ICOSAUNA is a portable sauna built around one of the most perfect forms in geometry: the icosahedron.

Our main offering is the ICOSAUNA portable sauna system, including the flying dodecahedron heater and a choice of clear or heavy-duty covers. It packs into a bag, can be assembled by one person in about 10 minutes, and creates a proper sauna experience almost anywhere. We can serve customers in English and, when suitable, in other languages as needed.

BUILT FOR LÖYLY

The most geometric sauna in the world. It likes water. A lot of it. The hot suspended stones produce a dense, humid löyly. The inside quickly fills with steam and condensation, giving the sauna an unusually wet, almost Turkish-bath character. That moisture also continuously condenses on the cover, keeping the outer skin and structural members far cooler than the heater itself. Hot stones. Hot steam. Cool structure. Simple physics doing useful things.

THE FLYING DODECAHEDRON

Of course an icosahedral sauna needed a dodecahedral heater. The stone heater hangs from a chain inside the structure. Its height can be adjusted with a small chain hoist, letting you position the heat exactly where you want it. An 8 kW gas burner heats the stones from below. No chimney. No complicated installation. From cold structure to sauna: approximately 45 minutes. Throw water on the stones and ICOSAUNA becomes something between a Finnish sauna, a Turkish steam bath and a geometric weather system. The steam is hot, wet and abundant. The transparent walls disappear behind condensation. You disappear into the cloud. Perfect.

10 MINUTES FROM BAG TO ICOSAHEDRON

No trailer. No permanent foundation. No construction project. No need to explain yourself to the campsite. ICOSAUNA packs into a bag approximately 150 cm / 59 in long. One person can assemble the structure in around 10 minutes. That makes it particularly suited to campervans, motorhomes, overlanding, festivals, cabins, remote beaches and places where nobody has previously thought: "You know what this landscape needs? An icosahedron."

BRING YOUR CAMPING CHAIRS

ICOSAUNA is deliberately not filled with permanent benches. Stand. Sit on the ground. Bring stools. Put your campervan chairs inside. Arrange the space differently every time. There is room for up to eight people, depending on how friendly everybody is. It works particularly well as a standing and social sauna — a temporary room that appears in the landscape and disappears back into a bag when you're finished.

An icosahedron isn't just beautiful. It is triangulated in every direction. That makes ICOSAUNA remarkably rigid despite being lightweight and demountable. The structure is strong enough for four grown men to hang from it at the same time. We know because that's the kind of product testing we believe in. The frame uses inch-scale wooden members and purpose-designed hubs made from durable, weather- and heat-resistant material. No floppy cube. No tent poles pretending to be architecture. Triangles all the way down.

The icosahedron is one of the five Platonic solids. Its dual is the dodecahedron. So naturally, we suspended one inside the other. Does sitting inside an icosahedron while pouring water onto a flying dodecahedron align you with the fundamental geometry of the universe? We don't have the instrumentation to confirm that yet. But the geometry is real. The steam is real. And universal energy is included at no extra charge.

Icosauna began with a simple question: what if a sauna could move as freely as you do? The answer was not a tent with a stove, but an icosahedron—one of geometry’s most elegant forms, made practical for travel. By suspending a stone heater inside the structure, we created a sauna that is playful in spirit, serious in function, and surprisingly easy to bring along for the ride. The result is a portable room for steam, silence, conversation, and a bit of ritual in the middle of nowhere.
